Illinois is flat.
The trees get in the way of a long horizon.
But the soil is some of the most fertile in the world, and that means green…everything and anything grows, anywhere.
Big deal you say?
Yeah, but when you live where brown is the dominant color, you come to miss the green.
In the next few days expect to see little more here than pics of my travels in the St. Louis environs. Those pics may look like no big deal to you… but they’re a feast for the eyes to this traveler.
