Long have I complained on the pages of this blog about that doggone 2.9% fee PayPal charges. It adds up fast.
Now, I know some of you dismiss it as just “the cost of doing business”. Until you get hit by someone who wants YOU to also pay their PayPal fee for whatever you purchase…then you realize you’re getting hit on both ends of your pocketbook.
Being another “cost of doing business” charge does not assuage the OCD man within.
I don’t expect PayPal to provide their service for nothing, but maybe a sliding scale is not too much to ask?
THEN…I read this article written by a businesswoman who has capitalized on a litttle-known and never-published feature PayPal still offers, that lets you get paid for a measly 50¢ per transaction – no matter how big (PayPal’s limit is $10,000).
She claims to have saved thousands over the years.
Of course, there’s a catch. But some of you may be able to capitalize on it, IFF you have certain accounting and invoicing software.
