OK, first…it’s free. And since you use Gmail anyway (right?), what can it hurt to try?
I’ve been keeping my eye on CloudHQ plug-ins for some time now. They run in the background, and let me save stuff from Gmail to .pdf, DropBox, GDrive, OneDrive, Box, OneNote and other digital places/formats with just a click. Slick!
One of their newest innovation is MailKing. And like the many other products they offer, it’s a plug-in that runs on Gmail. Here’s what they claim you get for free:
Experience higher open rates.
Send up to ~2000 emails/day for free.
Upload a CSV file of your mailing list from Mailchimp, Yesware, Salesforce, Zoho and other CRMs.
Use any of our 20+ email templates, or you can import them from Mailchimp.
Create follow up campaigns.
Track unlimited email opens and clicks.
BCC emails to your CRM.
Preview emails on mobile.
Create and send an email campaign right from within Gmail.
What’s the catch? I’m not sure there is one…other than maybe they’ll pitch you an upgrade at some time.
I’m not endorsing this, cause I’ve really not tried it yet, but I’ve got it installed, and based on the way CloudHQ’s other plug-ins work, I’m expecting great things out of this, too.

Have a great weekend!
