15+ Dialects Sites

dialectsEnglish is the only language I speak.  Sure, I’m jealous of my VO friends who speak two or more languages…they’re more marketable…but I still feel like I’m learning English!

So how hard can it be to learn a few dialects (in English), and still be able to broaden my prospects?  Some people are just good a picking up this stuff by ear, but these are skills that CAN be learned.

I looked around a bit and found a few online resources, and it occured to me y’all (Southern drawl) might benefit from the list, too.

If you can think of any others, please add them in the comment section below.

Dave, Backstage.com was kind enough to invite me to write a column about this very topic, and I think the tips I offer will help you reach your accent acquisition goal! ( I’m not sure if this comment section will accept links, but I’ll try linking anyway! You can always visit Backstage.com and search my name. This article will pop right up!) http://dialectcoaches.com/6-steps-toward-learning-new-accent
