Health Insurance anymore is like water, air, and food. And never has it been more confusing to GET IT in America.
I refuse to get into the politics of it… but in your never-ending search for the right health insurance for you and your family, wouldn’t it be great if there was an available policy based on the community of voice-actors?
Matt Dubois of the VoiceCastingHub is looking into it.
Brave guy, and I applaud him.
World-Voices Organization launched into this assessment phase twice. You’d think the available population of thousands of freelance voice-actors would make for a good market in the health insurance business.
WoVO eventually abandoned the idea because it was mighty difficult to get same-cost, equal coverage across state lines, not to mention international boundaries (we needed to be able to offer it to ALL of our members).
But Matt has proven to be a problem-solver before, and is now taking a survey to find out what’s what. If you’re a voice actor, and would consider being involved in a chance to take advantage of some new changes in health care laws that might get us all a shot at health insurance, then please follow this survey link to participate.
