Decide what your purpose is.
Can you articulate that?
For instance your job or your goal might be to provide the most professional voice-over services at the best price, but is that your purpose?
Here’s a possible VO purpose statement: I partner with my clients to help solve their problems…. or my purpose is to educate prospective clients about the VO marketplace… or I’m all about building a supporting community among eLearning voice-actors.
Hey!…I’m not sure I’ve got the hang of this yet, either. It’s a different mind-set, and may help you put some direction in your career. ‘Cause voice-acting IS a career, ya know… not just a job.
