….would you travel to go to a voiceover conference?
Well…Sean Daeley traveled 6827.6 miles. That’s how far it is from Nagasaki, Japan to Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Like me, Sean is a “hybrid” voice actor who does something else to help pay the bills (for now). Only… he does it all the way across the Pacific. Sean teaches English in Japan…but meeting him, you quickly find out his passion is behind the mic.
At VO Atlanta, Sean took the time to do interviews with a few people, and I was lucky enough to be one of them. You can watch that interview below. It’s probably more about me than you’ll ever want to know, but Sean asked good questions, and I did my level-best to give honest answers.
My hat is off to this guy who obviously has a lot of energy and drive to get ahead in our business. And my guess is, he’ll advance more quickly toward that goal as the winner of the VOA grand prize: a brand new Sennheiser MKH-416 microphone.
Congrats, Sean!…and thanks for making me look good!
