This One Time…at Band Camp…

by | Jul 10, 2014 | Faff Camp

faffcamp… only it wasn’t Band Camp. It was FaffCamp.

I’ve attended 4 of 6 FaffCon Unconferences, but somehow the inaugural FaffCamp slipped through my fingers. I’ve always regretted it.

Gone are the early falsehoods about The “Camp” version of FaffCon. The misleading rumors that it wasn’t for “real pros”.  No.  Faffers may come in all shapes and sizes and year of experience, but they all share the FAFF mystique…regardless of whether it’s FaffCon or FaffCamp.  That mystique typically manifests itself in selfless acts of sharing, professional networking, and open-faced mentoring.

However, FaffCamp #1 taught founder Amy Snively a lesson about event-planning, and now FaffCamp #2 is being proposed as an opt-in, crowd-funded, early-commitment event.  It’s a sort of all-or-nothing pre-planning with a deadline.  Trouble is… that deadline is fast approaching (July 10, 2014 11:59pm), and the needed commitments are still short (by about 20-or-so).

Your commitment is being actively sought by the organizers.  (Do it!….there will be no regrets)

For a $25 discount off the initial registration price of $375, use this promo code: VT8994102.

To see details of the event, check out my blog from a few days ago: FaffCamp II is On!

The official FaffCamp Website is here with all the information and registration links you could possibly need.

Also, Wednesday night, Amy Snively and her close associate Lauren McCullough hosted a chat-back with anyone who needed to know more.

A recording of that session is below, and if you needed a final prodding to get off the fence, you will find it by watching the video.

Go FaffCamp!
