The rancor/support for ProTools in the VO world has never been lacking. Some voice actors swear by it, others dismiss it out of hand as overkill.
Now, a new version that may cause a few supporters/enemies to switch sides and vice versa.
The new Pro Tools V 9.0 comes free of any mandatory hardware association, and has Automatic Delay compensation. So, what’s not to like?….the $599 full version price, that’s what!
Of course, there are other tweaks in the new version, but removing the tether to proprietary hardware is a long overdue feature that may entice some new buyers.
