The West’s Water Fountain

‘Drove 700+ miles in temps over 100F, with strong crosswinds across Colorado and Kansas.

Ugh.

The only respite?

A stretch of I-70 that parallels the Colorado River. My wife had to pull me away. The river waters the always-parched Western States, carved the Grand Canyon, fills Lake Mead, Lake Powell, Lake Mohave, and Lake Havasu, and provides much of SoCal’s electrical power.

Oh, and it’s gorgeous too.
