If you saw my blog yesterday, you know I have a dim view of this extortion the European Union has put us under here in the USA under the guise of GDPR.  Yes, I really feel that way (what?…you didn’t know I had a rebel streak?).

But reality being what it is, I’ll play along to placate forces great than me.

If you would like to remain as a subscriber of this blog please fill out the form below and hit send.  If I don’t hear from you, I WILL remove you from my email list.

I appreciate your patronage, but will not force anybody’s hand (unlike the  European Union) to stay on any mailing list they don’t want to be on.

I didn’t update my privacy policy or Terms of service.  I don’t have those.  So I wrote this bright ‘n’ shiny all-new privacy policy:

Your private email shared with me when you subscribed to this blog is securely held in a protected digital environment on MailChimp (which itself has a GDPR policy).  No misuse of your address will occur at the hand of Dave Courvoisier (has it ever?), nor will it be re-purposed, shared, distributed, or otherwise folded, spindled or stapled.  I don’t collect or store any personal data other than your email address. I don’t collect information from your browser when you visit my website unless you agree to fill out a form and send it to me.  I don’t use your email address in any other way but to send you my blog articles.

This WordPress site is also protected by policies at WordPress: “…WordPress 4.9.6, the WordPress core software is GDPR compliant. WordPress core team has added several GDPR enhancements to make sure that WordPress is GDPR compliant…Due to GDPR’sconsent requirement, WordPress has added the comment consent checkbox. The user can leave a comment without checking this box. All it would mean is that you would have to manually enter your name, email, and website every time they leave a comment…”

In addition, you may experience inviting pop-ups as you visit my site. This is the product of a blog plug-in called SUMO.  SUMO also has a privacy policy which you can see here. If you do not wish to receive responses from me as a result of these popups, please ignore these notices.

If you are a European Union resident or using the Services within the European Economic Area, I advise you to familiarize yourself also with Regulation (Eu) 2016/ 679 Of The European Parliament and Of The Council (also known as the GDPR) which you may find here: http://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32016R0679&from=EN

By accessing this blog, you agree to this Policy. Therefore, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the Policy before agreeing to continue receiving this blog. If you do not agree to this Policy,  your email will be removed and you will no longer receive this blog and its content. (sniff)

I want to keep getting your blog! I agree to the privacy policy.
