As a voice actor, you’re often asked to donate your talents to worthy charitable causes. You can’t do them all, but you might want to do this one.
I’m reprinting an appeal from a school teacher to help with a project… that of reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. I realize these days, even something so innocuous as the Pledge of Allegiance can be controversial. But if you DO stand behind this brief statement in support of our flag, our country. Here is the appeal:
Hello! My name is Tim Strauch and I’m an elementary school teacher in Sacramento, CA. I’ve been recording podcasts for the school and my own classes for the past 6 years and did a number of weeks this year with our new “Morning Messages” this year.

I’ve been asked by our Principal to be the “main voice” of our school’s Morning Messages next school year. Each of these messages includes the Pledge of Allegiance. Which brings us to my “project” that a friend of yours has already contributed to and recommended I contact you for any others that may wish to participate. My request is simple, if there are any voice artists you know who would like to be featured reciting the Pledge of Allegiance during next school year as well as on a special webpage I’ll be creating to showcase each “celebrity voice”, I would be honored to showcase them along with a link to their website for their time.
If there are voices that would like to do it, all I’d need is for them to say their name, along with “Please Stand…..Salute…..and Pledge” followed by their recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. And in order to properly credit them for their contribution, if they could also send a photo and website address that I could use on the webpage, that would be great!
