Oh, This is Gonna Be Good!

TropYesterday the official registration opened up for WoVOCon-3 in Las Vegas.

WoVoCon is the annual gathering of the faithful.  Any of our ~630 members can attend.  We hope they all do, ’cause when that many passionate voice actors get together, there’s more than just a little bit of magic.

After WoVOCon II, we listened to feedback, and people told us they wanted to be closer to the action.

So the conference happens Fri-Sat-Sun, April 15-16-17, 2016 at the Tropicana Resort in fabulous Las Vegas.  The “Trop” as it’s called by the locals, is at the corner of Tropicana Avenue, and the world-famous Las Vegas Strip.  Across the street to the North is the MGM Grand.  Katty-cornered is New York New York.  Across the street to the South is Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay.

The National Association of Broadcasters Conference (NAB) takes place in the days after WoVOCon.  There’s a lot of “interest overlap” between the two conferences for those who want to walk the NAB exhibit and see all the new/cool stuff.

Members who’ve attended a WoVOCon before will see many of the same comfortable scheduling arrangements, but of course we’ve got special guests and events planned too.  Each one is better than the last.

Those who haven’t attended…we hope you’ll make it this year.  Not a WoVO member?  Maybe now’s the time to commit.  Registration for WoVO membership AND WoVOCon-3 is on our home page:  http://www.world-voices.org.  Within minutes of the notice going up, we had 5 registrations already.

We hope you’ll register soon, too, and plan to stay AT the Tropicana.  President Emeritus Dustin Ebaugh is our event WoVOConIIIcoordinator.  He and I both toured all the facilities and rooms, and were VERY impressed.  We practically have a whole wing of the resort to ourselves.  We’re in a no-smoking section, too. We maintain the lowest costs for this event if we reach a minimum threshold of attendees staying AT the Tropicana (hint, hint)

Early Bird registration is $299.  After that: $349.  A day pass is $199.  Flights to Vegas are easy to find and usually fair-priced.

This is the direct link to the registration page.

We know there are other voice over events throughout the year, but this is special just to those of us who are members of World-Voices, and there’s plenty of reason to meet as a group in person and take stock of our industry.

Please consider attending, there will be much more info coming out in the weeks ahead!
