Ha!..and you thought he was only a pretty face!
OK, so maybe you thought he was just one of those uber-successful and ubiquitous network promo voices.
You’d be right on both counts, but you also know there’s a depth and a generosity to Joe Cipriano that harkens back to a tradition started by more than a few VO predecessors. Don Lafontaine comes to mind. Daws Butler. Hal Douglas. With experience comes helpful knowledge, yes…but also a willingness to share and offer a leg-up to others in the profession.
Joe Cipriano is there. That’s why he’s launched Joe Cipriano Consulting. Note, this is not exactly talent coaching, rather career consulting. There’s a difference, and Joe talks to me about that, and his motivations for launching a side-career in this area, in a video interview below.
In the meantime, Joe is wasting no time to get the ball rolling. In fact, he’s offering his WoVO colleagues a great chance at getting-in on one of the two vectors of his new consulting service: “Ask Joe Career Forums”. These are open to anyone who wants to sign-up and join in the forum conversation (Joe hopes for twice-weekly forums). The cost is $45 to be in the forum, but through December, Joe is offering it for $29.95 to WoVO members only. The first forum is this coming Tuesday. About the forums, Joe says: “Any number of people can participate via ZOOM at a very low cost and each forum will have a different topic that I’ll speak about and then there will be an interactive element where participants can ask questions specific to them.”
The other vector of his consulting service is one-on-one sessions. Joe says: “I really do enjoy helping people better their careers…finding their strengths, and helping them identify goals and create a plan to get them there. So, the main thrust of this are private sessions with voice over talent in a one-on-one situation.”
