Who’s heard of this site? It appears to be one of those new-wave online authoring sites like Medium.
I would have no idea it existed but for a Google Alert that flagged an article on io9: Why Announcers’ Voices Sound So Much Different Than They Used To.
The author points to an answer by a commenter — whose alias is ALLIUM — in response to what it’s like to peak behind the curtain of a rarely-discussed field. “Allium” wrote about voice-over, and it’s SPOT-ON. ‘Makes me wonder if I know who “Allium” is in real-life, ’cause the points he/she makes just hit the mark so perfectly. (Turkel, is this you?)
The 10-point list by Allium hits all the iconic terms like “pay-to-play”, ISDN, e-Learning, and Don Pardo.
Take a few minutes to read and see if you don’t agree with me.
Allium: good work, my friend!
